iPAD Q&A SESSIONS
We offer a terrific series of iPad Q&A sessions that is sure to build knowledge and confidence. Many older adults are proficient in a few often-used apps on their iPad or iPhone, but would love to learn more.

This series of lectures will introduce a new iPad feature each month, then offer lots of time for Q&A. Having a regularly scheduled time for residents to ask their questions takes the pressure off of your busy staff. Month after month, residents develop a new level of confidence and are able to explore the full potential of their device. Contact us for more information on this offering!

My how things have changed

I started working in technology in the 90's. Back then, computers were big, slow and rather complex. Fast forward to today and the technology is far more powerful, more compact, and much more intuitive.

Tablets allow you and I -- meaning casual computer users -- to do everything we do now with a computer (email, internet, photos) but with a light, portable, touch screen device. Even if you don't use a computer, check that -- especially if you don't use a computer -- the tablet may be just right for you! The hundreds of thousands of apps that are available allow us to do almost everything, from check the weather, to track our diet, to share our photos. We can watch a movie, catch the game highlights, listen to a lecture, an opera or a foreign radio station. If you are thinking "But I'm a technology luddite." I say "Give it a try". You'll be amazed at how simple it is. And you'll have help along the way. Our workshops illustrate how easy and intuitive these new technologies are, and provide you with the confidence to explore further on your own.

Even if you aren't interested in learning how to use these new technologies, our informational lectures give older adults a high level overview on the digital world and leave them feeling informed and empowered.

Regardless of the teaching method, we always use simple, straightforward language, define terms along the way and encourage interruptions, questions and clarifications.
