This an important lecture for those who spend any time online. We will learn how to spot fake emails, talk about the most current scams people are falling victim to, understand why we need to use strong passwords (and how to create them), and explore strategies for protecting our private information.
This class is our first at One Yonge Community Centre and as such is now being offered free of charge. The class is one hour in length with time for Q&A. Additional venue information below. This is a lecture-style format with time for Q&A. You are welcome to bring your computing device, but this isn't a hands-on workshop. Wifi access will be provided upon request.
One Yonge Community Centre is located at 24 Freeland Street in Toronto (just west of Yonge and north of Queens Quay). The venue is accessible, an elevator will allow barrier free access to the second floor where the class will be held. There are several paid parking options nearby.
