Our lectures provide an overview of new technologies, targeted at those not 'born into' the digital age. The focus of these talks is on providing simple, non-technical definitions and explanations which allow the audience to walk away feeling empowered knowing broad concepts of our digital world. No base of knowledge is assumed! These talks can be delivered as stand-alone lectures, or combined to create a unique lecture series.

KEEPING YOURSELF SAFE ONLINE
An important lecture for those who spend any time online. This will provide a solid base of knowledge of best practices to stay safe when using the internet. We will learn the red flags to watch out for to identify online scams and then explore simple, everyday things we can do (passwords; 2FA; privacy ++) to keep ourselves safe. INTERNET SCAMS & FRAUD In this essential talk we deconstruct current scam emails and texts, and understand how technology is fuelling a new generation of telephone scams. We then look at how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing the threat landscape. We wrap up by talking about simple things we can all do to stay vigilant and protect ourselves.
